Sweigart family Christmas

The Sweigart Christmas started on Friday night, with appetizers for supper..followed by opening stockings.

Mom got some SUPER classy pajamas for Mitch and Brent. And Eliana was SO funny, just sitting and resitting herself on Mitch. More of a plop, than a gentle sit.

Brent and Alyssa were not feeling well unfortunately, but they came and we even stayed up to play games.

And this little fella, decided to stay up REALLY late!! He finally went sleep around 3 am.

The morning brought chatter, games, food, and cousin time.

We opened presents from cousins/siblings in the morning.

We had a very delicious Christmas meal...ham, noodles, lettuce salad, cranberry salad, bread, beans, and oh probably something else I'm forgetting!

After lunch, we opened gifts from Mom/Dad/Grandma/Grandpa.

 

 Foosball is a favorite for sure.

Brutus made it an appearance at supper, and Noah was certainly amused!

We even had time for a very shortened version of the nativity.

 Grandma made these two little babies comforters for their first Christmas'.

She also made beautiful wall hangings for us three girls (which I will need to get a copy of that picture!)...I know she has been a very busy lady in the sewing room!!

We had a merry Christmas, there were several that didn't feel well...but we were all able to be together and make the most of our time.

nearly 4 months apart

 We (Tim & Carissa's family, Mom and Dad, and the 6 of us) went caroling at the Villa the first evening the Gredler's arrived. What a great way to spread Christmas cheer.

Christmas Eve we went to church together at Mom and Dad's church in McPherson.

I started calling Eliana "The Force"...she is hilarious and FULL of personality.

Oh dear.. we had to try for a nice picture!

 I had to work at the hospital 3p-11p on Christmas Eve, but the others that were here all went to Mitch's house for supper.

On Christmas morning, all our advent projects concluded.

Freddie, our shepherd was a fun new thing we did this year. He moved around the house, left a verse every day, and sometimes left treats or gifts. His focus was always geared towards "finding Jesus".

The two cousins got their pictures taken a bit.

Carissa makes the best tortillas for homemade tacos. We got to wear my Grandma's old aprons :)

Trampoline day

On Wednesday, we (Tim & Carissa/family, Mom and me and the boys) went to the trampoline place in Wichita. Perfect way to burn off energy.

So. Much. FUN!

I couldn't get a picture of Christian...but I did get a video of him doing a flip!

While we were gone, Ben stayed home working on a couple home projects (part of my Christmas gift from him)! More pictures of that when they are done :)

Hershberger Christmas

Christmas Day we went over to Mom and Dad's in the morning, and then went to Harper to celebrate the Hershberger side family Christmas.

After we came home, and celebrated with Phil and Diana. 

It was a very full day, but a good day of celebrating!

Christmas morning

Christmas morning we went over to Grandpa and Grandma's house for breakfast and a visit from Santa. Plenty of excitement for kids and adults alike!

Our Christmas 2017

We started our Christmas celebration on the 22nd, as our "Christmas Eve". 

We opened up stockings.

Each of the boys picked me out a bracelet...each so different, I love them all.

 All but Christian must have sensed the excitement...it was QUITE late before all these monkeys were in bed. Isaac was also climbing on my back, he was just hidden. We laid on the floor by the Christmas tree and had fun being silly (at least for a little while).

On the 23rd, we had our Christmas! Breakfast pancakes, sausage links, and Orange Julius. 

 And in the afternoon we played games...Bounce Off and Mario Kart Wii...some serious playing!
