Golfing with Daddy

Daddy made a customized golf club for Christian...oh my, was he excited to use it!
It was more than amusing to watch them hit the ball...it made my heart happy :)
Christian has a good daddy!

Getting closer

Baby brother is closer to his arrival, still has a little over a month to cook.
He and I are doing well..I have to go every week now to get a sono due to his irregular heart beat they found the last appointment I had. Not overly concerning necessarily, but it's something to be monitored and so that's what we are doing!

I realized I haven't taken any pictures of him while in my belly...partly out of negligence, party out of not needing proof that indeed he is in there and it makes my body change shape.
But...then I decided one evening, maybe I'll wish I had a couple pictures...hence these, and some of Christian just for fun.

              33 weeks
The pictures went downhill pretty rapidly...I never know how to stand...so naturally, looking purposefully ridiculous is a good option!

We look forward to meeting you baby brother...but you can stay in there a little while longer!

"Ball Burrito"

This is the arboretum in Hesston.
We like to go here...to walk around, to check out the turtles, and for Christian to throw rocks in the water!

It was such a nice day...sunny and beautiful weather. We had gone to Mom 2 Mom (which he likes this year...YAY!) and decided to check out the arboretum on the way home. Christian used to call it the "burrito", and now its more something like "ball burritum". At any rate, he loves this place!

Collecting his rocks to throw in the pond.

Today, he could've stayed on this bridge for HOURS throwing rocks in.
I let him play for a really long time, it was just as entertaining for me to watch him!

Next, we checked out the new flower garden.
It has lots of flowers to attract butterflies..he had fun trying to catch them!
So pretty.

See the butterfly all the way to the left?!?

MN trip: Natalia's Wedding

Mom, Christian and I drove up to MN for my cousin Natalia's wedding near Minneapolis.
We left Saturday morning, and were able to make it to Camille's place (another cousin) for supper and birthday party for Molly (Kyle & Julie's youngest) and Russell.

The little birthday girl...opening her gifts, she was so proud of her "back pack".

Hannah, Camille & Russell's little girl...the hat was actually mid-falling off her head!

Russell and Molly...the birthday boy and girl!

A true party...with hats and all!
Isaac has quite the perplexed look....Christian giving a BIG ol' smile!

Sunday morning, we ate breakfast at the hotel, and then headed to IKEA **yay!!** Our time went by so quickly..then we got ready for the wedding and headed that way. It was a beautiful day!

Drew & Natalia's wedding
9-16-12 @ 2 pm

At the reception:
There was three separate stations for getting food...one had salad, one had little mini hamburgers with the fixin's and chips...and one had macaroni that you could add one of three different cheese sauces and then toppings.

Carol (aunt) & Mom

While we were waiting for the cake to be cut..we went outside to let the little people run around.

Kyle & Molly

This cracked me up...Christian wanted to mimic whatever Isaac did.
Isaac stopped to look at something...so Christian stand right next to him to look in the same direction.

Isaac turns to look somewhere else...so did Christian!

I thought these two just looked too CUTE!!

Congrats to you Natalia & Drew!!! May you have a lifetime of fun and blessed years of marriage together :)

campfire company

Sunday night the weather was absolutely perfect...so we decided to have a bonfire.
Then we called up Mom and Dad...and Brent & Alyssa's family, since they were over there...and asked if they wanted to join.
We had some of the best s'mores EVER. Brent was our officially s'more master. He made ones with Mounds candy bar instead of Hershey's...oooooooh they were TASTY!

The s'more master enjoying his own at last!

pizza picnic at the park

I didn't know what to have for supper...a common problem from time to time. We didn't even have food to make sandwiches. So we decided pizza..at the park! Win-win! And, we went for a walk in town afterwards. These last couple evenings have been so nice..its nice to be outside!

Bergey family: Betty's funeral

Ben's grandma Bergey (Betty) passed away on Aug 16, and the funeral service was on Aug 31.
I didn't have the chance to know Betty prior to her strokes that changed her significantly. The funeral was a very good service to hear about her life, and the many things she had done and what her personality really was like! It was very fulfilling.

On Saturday evening, John and Chris let the Bergey family who was still around come to their house to enjoy the pool and grilled hamburgers. We had a good time.

A few random pictures on the way to their house...I'm pretty sure we take a different route every time (not intentionally!).

Christian and I were having a country music sing-along on the drive...
and Ben, well it looks as though we lulled him to sleep!! Yikes. Maybe he just wasn't impressed with our singing.

Pool fun!
